Tomorrow Marks a New Unit!

We're starting a new unit in school tomorrow. We finally got through the last seemingly never ending unit today. This next unit is timely (plants and animals) and should be a lot of fun. I anticipate a lot of outdoor projects.

The kids have been fighting all day today, so I'm going to cut this short and get them ready for bed.

Have a great night/day everyone!

I see a trip to the zoo, a nature journal, leaf prints oh goodness you're making me want to do something like this now too. Fun fun fun.
What are you following? Or are you making it up on your own? Would love it if you shared.

We use THE WEAVER CURRICULUM (Vol. IV this year) for everything but math and phonics. We add whatever suits our fancy, current events, teachable moments, holiday studies, and whatever other rabbit trails we come across. The previous zoo trips were extracurricular, but our next trip will be in line with our studies. Next year I'll have to in 7th, so I plan to stick with the curriculum and go down less trails to make record keeping easier.

THE WEAVER CURRICULUM can be purchased through Alpa Omega Publications. It is composed of unit studies that have the Bible studies as the base of the units. For example, while we studied the Exodus in Vol. I we were studying frogs, gnats, lice, skin diseases, etc. in science.
