I am now the mother of a teenager. Froggie recently celebrated her thirteenth birthday. Yikes! I remember being thirteen. We're in for a crazy roller coaster ride. We've had a few jostles up to now, but I imagine this is the beginning of a whole new experience.
Monkey celebrated her eighth birthday. It's unreal how fast the years seem to go by.

Wait until they are in their 20s and you are sitting there looking at the empty house wondering what the heck happened, and how did it happen so fast! But in the mean time, you will often be fantasizing about how wonderful that day will be and how you can make it come more quickly! LOL!! It's just the way of parenthood.
If you haven't ever read the book, Trust me, Mom - Everyone Else is going. , I highly recommend you do so if only to get an outsider's perspective on the teens your daughter will be interacting with in the world outside your protective walls. I have several friends who have found it very helpful.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, FROGGIE!
Remember that your mom will get smarter as you get older, so just hang in there with her and remember that no matter what, she loves you.
GOOD LUCK AND HANG IN THERE, MOM! It's a tough job, but if I can do it, so can you. ;o) xoxoxo
