Call us crazy, but we're going to try to wake everyone up at 5am. We'll get up, ready, eat breakfast, and have devotions before Jon leaves for work. Then the kids will clean up from breakfast while I get ready for our school day. When Jon is starting work at 7am, we should be starting school.
We might just have the patience to make this work. Our moms watched the kids last night so we could go on a date. We went to see an ApologetiX concert and enjoyed the time as a couple.
Now I better get to bed so I can get up!

Look at the time of this comment. I'm just now winding down enough that I can get to sleep. If I had to get up at 5 every morning AND deal with 6 kids (even ones as cute as yours!) I think I would probably just shoot myself and get it over with because that would be a slow and torturous way to die! LOL! GOOD LUCK with the new system. xoxoxo
5am?!?
yeah, nuts u are (not that I haven't told you that for years)
man... I hope you don't keep this schedule through the summer, cuz if I get to have kids stay over you'll have them trained to get up right when I'm GOING TO BED! lol
We've all been pretty tired today, but we have taken some rest breaks. Moods and attitudes are fragile, but I expected that. Having the kids get up after Jon and I did just made my day too long. I was burning the candle at both ends and Jon was wise enough to see it. Some changes need made to run our home more smoothly, and for now this is what we are trying.
I actually think it's going to work. We were done with school an hour or so ago, and we got more done than usual. I did omit reading from UNCLE TOM'S CABIN today, because I was just too tired. I figure I'll add that in tomorrow or the next day when my body adjusts to the new schedule.
It's odd, I got more sleep last night and I feel more tired than usual today. I've taken two cat naps while trying to get the boys to nap. I think it may be that I am dealing with the kids more earlier.
